Harry understands the special living needs of seniors and persons with disabilities, as well as their desire to maintain their dignity and live independently.
Founder, Harry Burns has been professionally involved with construction almost his entire life. He became a certified electrician over twenty years ago and has worked as a carpenter, roofer, and remodeler for both commercial and residential projects, as well as a corporate property manager. But from all of this construction experience, arose an interest to specialize in customized designs for home modifications. The result of this passion led to his founding of Home Evolutions.
Built on Experience
Harry understands the special living needs of seniors and persons with disabilities, as well as their desire to live independently, because of two very personal experiences.
He spent over two years living with and caring for his grandfather, learning first-hand what it is like to grow old. This experience taught him about the emotional and psychological effects associated with people being unable to do the things they once could. During this time, Harry came to fully understand the frustrations that his grandfather and others felt from their loss of freedom.
In addition, his mother’s home eventually had to be modified in order to meet her own mobility needs. From these experiences, Harry realized the need for highly qualified home modification specialists and proceeded to become an expert in the field and attain the necessary certifications.
